Match report 2XV vs. Oemoemenoe
22nd of September 2019
It was a though game this weekend against oemoemenoe, they had an experienced team on the field while some of us are still learning the ropes. But that did not matter, everyone still gave it the full 100% and that is something that you can’t learn with experience; the fighter spirit!
The 2nd XV had a good start in the game, putting pressure on Oemoemenoe and forcing them to make a lot of mistakes. But their heavy pack and very experienced No. 8 turned the game around and with scoring from scrums straight away.
I think we lost this game because we still haven’t mastered the basic skills (i.g. Passing, running straight lines, tackling). We will be focussing on those skills the coming weeks during training.
I also saw some great plays this sunday, Jack worked like a machine and got over the gain line every single time he got the ball and Harry ‘blitzkrieg’ who scored his first try in his first game, the man was unstoppable with his hard 20m run to the tryline.
We could count on Jillis to always be there and set up those backlines.
I am proud of our preformance, I had fun and I can’t wait until tue next match!
